We feel best results occur when parents / whānau, students and teachers work together and support one another in a shared endeavour. The key to the success of this relationship is effective communication.
Our open door policy means that Parents / whānau are free at any time to make an appointment to meet with any of our team at a mutually convenient time. From time to time, in a people oriented activity such as education, there will be concerns. When these occur, it is important that all parties involved work together to obtain a solution that is mutually acceptable and best for all concerned.
Our team is always happy to answer questions or queries via email or meet with you to discuss your concerns face to face, whenever possible.
We will make contact with you if there are any issues or concerns about your child at school.
Regarding behaviour, it is important that all parents/whānau understand that most students, at some stage, are going to make mistakes - it is how they deal with these that matters most and that they learn from them. We all need to work together to make this happen.
Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any concerns about what is happening at school for your child or if you think there are things going on that we are not aware of - we can only deal with what we know about and things are far better dealt with early, before they escalate.
HERO is our main source of communications.
On this student management system we keep parents updated through newsletters, emails, texts. Our facebook page gives great picture updates of what we are doing in real time.
This is our primary source of contact with parents to let everyone know what is going on.
This is shared with you fortnightly on HERO.
Classrooms newsletters are sent to whānau every alternate fortnight. Sport notices and newletters are sent to whānau as required.
We also have a school Facebook page where we put up other information and posts about what has been happening at school. You do not need a Facebook page of your own to view ours.
It can be found at www.facebook.com/bluffschool
