Prior to making your school decision, you are more than welcome to come into the school. We would love to show you around our kura so you can see it in action, and get a feel for the environment.
If you have any queries feel free to contact the office and make time to talk to the principal or classroom teacher.
For your child’s enrolment we need their:
● Birth certificate or current passport.
● Record of immunisation or Well Child Book.
● Enrolment form.
At the beginning of each term we hold a mihi whakatau for all new students and their whānau. We ask that you bring your child to the staffroom at 9am on this day where you will wait until the mihi whakatau begins. You will all then be formally welcomed into our kura, after this we will share kai with you, your child and all new whānau (provided by the school staff).
After this, your child’s new teacher will collect them and show them to their classroom.
How to Enrol a 5 Year Old Child:
Step 1: Contact the office for a school tour with the principal.
Step 2: Get an enrolment pack from the school office.
Step 3: Come into school 6 weeks before your child is due to start to arrange school visits.
We aim for each child to have 2-3 school visits before they start. These visits will start 3 weeks before your child starts school.
As all children have different needs we understand that some children may require more visits than others. This can be discussed with your child’s teacher and the Principal upon enrolment.
Your child will start in Weka (classroom) with their teacher Bri Lemin and Nanny Fran (Teacher Aide).
Their classroom is located at the bottom block of the school.
We would love to talk to you about enrolling your child or to take you around on a school tour with a time that suits you. Please contact our school office on 03 212 8523.
